My goal is not to pass an "installation verification". My goal is to ensure no one can ever charge me back on my work & the customer enjoys their investment.
I will take extreme measures to ensure the dish is dithered, peaked, hell, I'll paint the son of a bitch if I have to if it stops anyone from charging me back for my efforts or enhances the enjoyment for my customers.
I've shared my experiences with the KAKU, SWM and other issues concerning DTV installs. I've learned from quality oriented techs on this site.
When you decide to shortcut or leave work undone, please don't bitch here about you "getting screwed" by the company which trusted your professionalism.
You can do it right, or you can suffer the consequences. DTV has decided you will do it right by instituting the verification system. Just like WildBlue, just like HughesNet, just like any GOOD company would to ensure performance is what is promised.
