Many people are not satisfied with themselves. They don’t like the color of their hair, their weight, their shoe size. They are too small or they are too big. They wish they had been born with blue eyes or brown eyes. They wish their personality was different and on and on you could go. The market place has an answer for your problem.. Would you rather have blue eyes than brown, come in today and pick up your blue contact lens. Make over shows on T.V. to make you look smaller, how to dress and the right places to go and the right people to meet to keep your so called image. Too many are trying to transform themselves and the end results are failure. The Bible tells us in Romans 12:2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God. Transform, just what does that mean? Webster says it means “To change the form of; to change the shape or appearance; to metamorphose; as a caterpillar transformed into a butterfly.” My question is how long do people want to be transformed? The Apostle Paul says that we can have a mind that is changed like the metamorphose of the caterpillar into the butterfly. Now that is a very notable change. Paul says don’t become like the people in this world; in other words have something different about you. Your talk is different, the places you go are different, the way you spend your money is different, you are not trying to be someone you’re not. A lot goes on in our minds but if you really want to know who people are, listen to the way they talk and their talk will tell you who they really are, just listen. Luke 6:45 A good man out of the good treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is evil: for of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaketh. Just be yourself this week and if you aren’t sure who you are just listen to yourself talk; your talk will tell you.
