My personal opinion cdv installers should not touch an alarm. Reason being if the alarm has been certified for insurance purposes the moment you touch it you become partially or fully liable for the property if the alarm does not work after you leave it has been de-certified. Most alarm companies charge $200-$400 to certify an alarm. The best thing to do is see if the alarm company has any issues before disrupting their service or potentially disrupting it. I cannot believe all the cable companies that are putting theirselves at financial risk with this.
