For all you that replied about plastic connectors on QR cable are correct. Found usually to 750 not much of a problem, to 1 gig, well old gilberts with metal will pass about maybe half the time if spliced correct. Debatable yes, swept on cox's 1 gig upgrades, mod swaps some passives so majority of connectors were old. Times it would just one needed replacement, other times a few. Now if they were amphernol, well, break out the new connectors. Real reason for this post was I noticed one issue not addressed to look for, loose face plates. Cannot count the number have found where face plate change was done to new design and whoever did it did not believe the new plate had to be tightened down.
