If you can get 5-10 T1 lines to your home, just use a series of agregators , routers, a CMTS and a WiMax 360 transmitter and some repeaters. Then sell your neighbors the necessary WiMax receivers and Surfboards and you're in business. Just be sure that you consult the FCC and your local telecom attorney for any little legal issues. Doubt it'll be easy. If you don't have broadband available in your area, look into gov't grants for providing such a service. However, the only detail will be that they'll require that you have some experience in building and servicing such systems. If you're looking for a way to generate income, forget the MSO stuff and become a sales rep for Clearwire, Dish, DTV, ADT, etc. High commissions and very low overhead.
