This'll probably go over like a lead balloon but:

I flat out tell them these new receivers don't have coaxial out and they'll need a different TV. I get one of two replies every time.

1) that's okay, we're replacing it anyway

2) I can't afford a new TV.

When it's 2, I hook them up with Salvation Army, Goodwill, etc for a cheap TV with AV inputs. I've taken people to the SA or GW to get them.
