RandM,   All I can tell you is that "everyone" doesn't know what they are talking about.  I just ordered 1000 Hornady 200gr FMJ for $147.00 , 15 cents apiece, 2 cents for powder, 2.5 cents per primer, used brass- free. I end up with ammo (45acp) for less than 20 cents. I just bought 3000 rounds of 45acp @ 319.95 per case which comes out to 32 cents per round. I save a little over a third fom a bulk purchase. If you by the 50 round box, Ouch. My favorite is a 45, but I will probably dust of the 9mm because a case is only $179.95 per 1000. I don't have any 9mm dies so that's coming next. It's a shame that the politicians don't realize that gun control should really mean being able to hit what your aiming at!
