Top..did a lot of Cali. work, LA, SF, Daly City, Oakland, in Telco and cable, you can about double the labor cost for hanging strand..It's a pain in the butt..you have NEC, NESC, OSHA, GO-95, + LA has a code stacked on top of GO-95, guard arms on every pole..Crimp DG tails, no weavers used..Crimping tool was 200$..usually work with a Telco inspector with pole attachment sheets attached to every print with pole #'s for attachment height..inspector on every crew..pole lead goes back, you use stand off arms to keep the strand straight until the pole lead comes back in lead..traffic control is a bitch..had to hire local traffic control company with every crew..At the end of the day the money aint that good..Calli. has broke a lot of contractors that go there expecting to make a fortune..be carefull. Sorry for the book. Forgot to say, some towns have stepped pole, can't use hooks and if ya do they replace the pole and charge you for it..
