Foreclose on all toxic loans, allow residents to remain and convert their foreclosures into rentals with lease options. If they can't get it together evict and move on.. This will separate peeps who really want to stay by incentive rather than rewarding their lack of responsibility. Do away with IRS, this way there is no cheating, the more you spend the more you pay. People with unreported incomes end up participating in the economy. Cut capital gains and corporate taxes which are among the highest on the planet to encourage 13 trillion dollars worth of business to return to U.S. instead of penalties. Secure our borders, Enforce immigration laws already on the books. Stop pacifying illegals! End the war on drugs and concentrate on treatment. Stop imposing our will on other countries except when allies are having someone elses will imposed on them. In most cases including B.S. bailouts let the cards fall where they may. The companies that have run themselves into the ground so be it.. Hit control alt delete.. Return to responsibilty and encourage a will to survive rather than this modern day robin hood because in old times there was no opportunity as there is now.. People who want to succeed can make a difference and should get rewarded for taking chances instead of penalties. Set term limits in our legislative branch of gov. Make it a duty, similar to jury duty and make people be involved with certain qualifications, of coarse. Instead of a power absorbing sponge. Again, the word is "encourage" leadership and innovation. Most great ideas these days are never even being heard or being discussed because of this oppresive society and government. This is not the answer for everything and not all my ideas but they are things I believe would change our direction and put our country back on track to being a nation worthy of envy as opposed to being despised.
