Re: Austin, TX, Time Warner pay cuts??????

I have no doubt from your post that you have worked there.

For the record, I met a lot of decent people when I worked in Austin, but the TWC business model in Austin is very, very anti Contractor. There is no doubt about that. It is designed to return every dime possible of the unrealized revenue going to a contractor, back to TWC.

"....Then again When you Roll past an Inhouse Job and See 4 Inhouse Techs there to "Get the Job Done" You laugh on your way back by after You've completed your quality Triple Play and they're still Talking about whos going up the ladder to "Tag" that chitty 59 Snubber Drop that they are'nt even going to think about replacing cause they know a Contractor has to replace it when We Roll the Job. So It'll get done in a day or so when a Contractor gos out to swap the High Dollar paperweight HD-DVR which is macro blocking cause of the 59 to which Said Contractor Now gets to bring the entire Job to Code or Risk getting charged back even though only being there for the Swap. 2 Hrs Later the In house Job has been ReDone. The Tech has Made 5 Phone Calls to get Bullshit Contract supervisor Approval to Replace Drop, Lines and Eliminate Cascading Splitters, Has been Questioned on the fact that he is calling for these Requests to replace these lines when "An" inhouse guy was there not 3 days ago and it "must be Right".

He finally got all the Approval Paperwork gets turned in and then the "Billing Specialist" Questions his Codes knocks off what she doesnt thing Qualifies Hits him for a $100 False billing Charge and that Contractor gets screwed once again.

Thanks In House Guy, You just Screwed another Contractor."
