Linemen built this industry as well as telephone and power over the last hundred years. That's where a lot of us started....it's a brotherhood that doesn't accept wimps, whiners or wormboys. Obviously, you've never used a wiggle stick, had to swap a loaded j-lasher or splice a five piece combo off of a ladder, have you? Kinda tough to build a system lugging a ladder through the easements, but then, you wouldn't know, would you?

Lazy or weak? Not so much. Most linemen are built like gorillas.

You're right about one thing, it's no magic trick to climb. What's your excuse for not being able to?
