Or hopefully this will bring about some competition between service providers and they actually come to the conclusion that it pays off to actually give a rats arse about the people paying monthly bills.
Something like "oh company x is charging this amount for the same service....we can meet that" as opposed to "Hey, our services are what they are and that's the price". Blaming the individual for wanting a better product for a lesser price just does not cut it. That's going to be the way it is in this economy. People are looking to save $$$$$ big time.
Blame the MSO's for not giving a crap and simply cutting prices and raising back charge rates to the contractors to make up for lost subscriber revenue. I personally hope some of the cable companies go tits up so that the demand for FiOS installs skyrockets and we can go back to making some real $$$$ again.
The fact that cable work pays less than it did 5 years ago and prices for everything have done nothing but go up is nothing more than ass backwards. That would be like going to work for a company and having your hourly wages cut every 6 months. I could almost understand not getting a raise in pay if times are hard for the company, but to cut them every 6 months ?????
