I have been to Australia. It is very clean, very open and very friendly country. The wife and I had a great time there. But they are set up just like Britain. High taxes, socialized medicine the whole EU bit. And their immigration quota is quite small ( no open broders problem there), so getting residency is difficult.
I agree with the notion that if it is so bad and you do not believe it can be fixed, fell free to go toanlother country if they will take you. But my contention still is this is the greastest country ever to exist. We have a problem with the elected officals working for themselves and not us. Fix that problem, and the rest will work its way out. If we have to vote out every incumbant every election until they finally get that they work for us and not themselves, things will actually change, not just be a slogan.
It is our country not the pols. Start acting like the employers that we all are and fire the bums. Vote for waht is right or stop complaining.
