Talked to a person who stated they were targeting senior employees (15+ years) for termination this week. Two guys that worked the headends and two HR reps, all four had been with the company 20 years or better.
They axed one of the HR trainers (they did get a severence) then reposted her old position this week!? Same position same location, WTF.
Several folks I know that are in non-field positions are now scrammbling to get back in the field in hopes of not getting axed (project managers, directors, supervisors, construction, etc).
Appears TWC is using the poor economy to get rid of folks that are finally making decent money and have many years witn the company. Most of these folk are 50ish.
Don't know about the other TWC areas, but that's what's going down in eastern North Carolina.
Btw, they're not done and these are terminations not layoffs.
