Giving the public money is like giving sugar to a baby.  It will boost them for a very short period of time.  Where it helps is giving tax breaks for the purchase of new products like a new home, car and so on.  Bush tried the sugar rush and people did not spend the money or paid their late fees.  Nobody wants to give the current president a chance.  He has been sworn in for less than a month.  Can't we all just get along.
