It's not !!!!!
We are heading into a great depression and a lot of people will be cutting back, or even cutting off all together non essentials so that they can have a place to live and food to eat and a way of keeping the lights and heat on. This equals less bandwidth needed to provide service, which in turn means less needs for upgrades in systems that were previously overloaded. The MSO closest to me just did a price cut of 40% across the board. FiOS is stealing their triple play customers right and left, and they have no interest in doing some customer retention in the way of meeting the competitors pricing when they can just cut the installation costs by another 40% plus charge backs.
And unfortunately for FiOS, 6 months to a year down the line they'll end up with a big percentage of non pays and loss of profit due to new equipment purchases (set top loss and NTO's) because of the economy. When is it gonna start ???? sorry it's over !!!!
