I prefer Dish Network packaging over DirecTV, but Direct has a more dependable system as far as equipment goes it takes a real moron of an installer to mess that system up, Dish network equipment isn't as forgiving. It all depends on the installer if the retailer is paying $60 for the primary and $10 for each additional you probably aren't getting the best install available. You get what they pay for.
As for picture quality sat is the way to go. Catv is the better internet.
