I suggest you stay where you are at working in house, because once you become a contractor,they (mso,primes) will Sc**w your 4 year virgin A__ like there is no tomorrow.
Talk about the low pay you are getting now for what you are doing!, Try living on NO PAY for doing what they demand you to do, Plus I don't think you want to drag your 2-3 reliable guys into bankruptcy along with yourself....
37 years in the trade, I fell I know what I am talking about, plus you would burn your bridge with who you are with now, local management might say kool go for it.
upper management will say kool another free slave to help improve our bottom line.
