All MSO's are pushing this however, All my guys are employees and they still get piece rate, not a big financial undertaking, only difference is I withhold taxes. Have your prime contact me if it's too big of a leap for them I'll tell them how to do it. I suspect that your prime is using this as an excuse to line their pocketbook.
It's ez, give a percent of prime price to tech's 30-40% is common depending on how much the tech's are required to prove as far as tools and meter's etc.
