Re: Humble pie,anyone?

Back when I was 17 working with my brother burying drops for GTE, I got dropped off with a whomper and a couple of houses on the same street. Sometimes there was a temp, other times not. . Nice big backyard, whomped a real clean line from the nid way back to the ped/pole- curved it around the pool, weaved it around the tree and then straight back- nice deep, even trench. Well, it was the wrong house. By the time I realised and we went back to fix it, the mrs. was home. She was out there looking at the trench, shaking her head, with a broomstick in her hand- probabbly to defend herself against the crack-addicted mole that burrowed her yard! Of course we bailed! Still cracking up about that one 13 years later!
