I remember that myself..I got $200 for an install....all singles back then..all materials furnished, and paid 29 cents per mile..driving 200 miles one way was not unfamiliar territory though..I remember checks for $3,500 for the installs and a seperate check of average $1,000 for mileage, every week, not 4 weeks out, one week out. What a gravy train..Maybe that's why it is so hard to swallow going down to $70/20 and furnish everything. When I had a contract with RTK doing Primestar conversions, they paid $90/45 and furnished me every thing to do the install. I had about 15 guys running Memphis and upsate NY we were all smiling... We will never see those times again...Damnit
