Re: Well it's Official

I won't go that far but perhaps this one time he has a point. We do need someone to organize (not unionize) all contractors to having prices that benefit all. The prime and the sub. It isn't that bad of an idea. If everyone was together the customers (cable companies) would not be able to backcharge more than they paid for a job. I wouldn't mind seeing managers and supervisors who think they need illegal kickbacks exposed for what they are. Most of us go out of our homes, leave our families and pay for 2 places, because bringing the family isn't feasible , to do an honest job for people who treat us like we are not even human. Or somehow beneath them. The customer usually doesn't know as much as the contractor because the contractor has been in house much of the time and has worked on multiple systems giving us more experience. Yes there are some that give contractors a bad name. But "one bad apple......" Having said that why should we have to pay someone to work on a job site? Not all customers do that but many do. And if you don't pay, whether it be money or taking them to strip bars and golfing you don't get to work or are the first to go when a job is coming to an end. This includes anyone in contracting. Installers and linemen. Anyone enough of the soap box.
