The AC can effect the ferrous componets of the splitter which causes tiling, when you disco a line from the splitter it releases the voltage build up, it takes a few hours for it to build back up and cause tiling again. Try power blocks between the TV and the box. Last week we had a BLUERAY player sitting on a S.A. DVR cause tiling, the only thing we could come up with was the magnet in the motor was affecting a part of the DVR that wasn't sheilded sufficiently.
