After 25 years I wouldn't take the world for the blood,sweat and tears or the brothers I've gained and lost along the way.I also can't suggest anyone become CATV lineman today.But if you have your mind made up no one can teach you how to climb you just need to get an old pair of hooks keep your knees away from the pole and get the feel of it yourself once you can get up and down the stick about any crew or company will teach you the rest.You will know if you are man enough the first time you fall even if its just a few feet slip and you get a good dose of splinters and remember whoever teaches you to do the work on the pole is not going to tell you to do anything that can't be done so swallow any fear and do it.Look where your going not your feet and do not hitchhike and if you do hit the ground get back on that pole many a good hook have been ruined by not getting back on the horse.
