Re: driving ground rods into the frozen ground

when i was in Minnesota a few winters back I used a Hilti TE706 Demo hammer.  I had a big socket that went around the ground rod and just turned it on and drove it down.  Sometimes I would pour boiling hot water over the ground just to soften up the top layer to make it easier.
