Well I really dont have to worry with the barking dog issue. I live far enough out that if I hear a dog barking its mine and I better get a gun and see why he is barking... cause he doesnt bark at non-serious issues.
Did have some uncollared dogs show up one afternoon and tried to claim my yard as thier territory over him. The 3-on-1 odds I didnt like so I balanced the odds with a .22 loaded with rat shot. Quite non-leathal for a dog at 20-30 yards and havent seen them since.
