Im not gonna read all these replys, so if i repeat someone elses advice, sorry. Go inhouse, work for chump change for a while... learn the "by the book" way of doing things, but dont fall into the "i only have to do 2 jobs a day mentality" start buildign your tools and experience, then get a decient truck or van that you can work out of and that looks good... make sure its white(alot of companys are requireing it now) learn to be profesional. then go sell yourself to what ever company you think is gonna rip you off the least. that being said... good luck, you probably should have picked a different trade, unless you can live off 500 a week, or you wanna travel, but if you travel... make sure you can afford to take care of yourself for a few weeks till those checks roll in...
if you dont wanna go throu all that... find a sub contractor, that dont mind taking on a helper... and let him train you... just remember ethics go a long way.
