If The company's are all going inhouse they will be making a mistake in my opinion. Paid by piece work gives incentive to work faster and harder to make money in a shorter period of time. Hourly encourages slower speed and better quality on each job. I agree quality is important, but the contracting companies will still want the same production out of each tech as before the hourly pay which will not happen. They can take their hourly pay and shove it when it comes to installation work unless they are willing to pay around 25 to 30 bucks an hour which we all know won't happen. It's piece work or NO WORK! Comcast can kiss our A**!
