That's most likely the best thing that could happen to them. Life is too short to be forced to work by scrooges on Holidays for no reason. Hopefully they will hook up with a company that has some concern about people, and does not just work under the motto of putting every dime they can in their own pockets with the thought of "to hell with everyone else".
