Re: pole transfers.....?!!

You opened up a whole can of worms with your post.
First of all no 2 pole transfers are the same. You may use the same equipment and same techniques but there are always subtle differences with each one. Is it a stright through or a deadend? Is it a 45 or 90, curve clamp or stright? How far is it from the new pole? Does it cross a road, can you get a truck to it or is it in an easement? Will you have to piece out the stran and cable? How many cables are on the stran? is there fiber involved?
These are just some of the basic questions. Find an experienced LINEMAN and have him teach you. It is not anything you can learn from reading you got to do them and if you don`t want to get someone killed or get killed yourself get a pro.
