Couple of problems with making them pass a drug screen.
1. The working people that pay taxes would have to pay for the tests so your taxes would go up.
2. Everyone that failed the test and still wanted government assistance (I'm being PC here) would end up going through rehab and the tax payer would be stuck with that bill and your taxes would go up again.
One way around this would be to decriminalize things like weed and sell it like alcohol with a heavy tax on it. This would increase tax money, turn the people that sell weed into small businesses, stimulate the economy, get people of the government handouts, reduce prison over crowding. Then there would be room to put all the fat ass Wall Street sons of bitches in jail that have ripped off the working man and screwed the economy up for everyone.
