Never worked for them, but do work for the one of the CATV companies that employs them and based on my observations they have a revolving door down here on the NC coast.
They can't keep good help and continually run "help wanted" adds.
Just talking to the guys (when they're around long enough to get to know), I've heard the same scuttlebut as mentioned earlier. Bogus equipment and QC gigs that takes money out of their pockets!
Based on the contractors that have showed up lately, I'd say they are scraping the bottom of the barrel and have burnt bridges with the decent help. Most are basically just breathing and have a truck, no practical experience. But you know how that goes, easy to get over on the green guys till they wise up.
Seems like a shady bunch to me?
