Hey Sab3r and Mad/Dog I hear you both Jesus was persecuted by the Jews for blasphemy when He said he was the Son of the GOD they served. Even though His coming was predicted by the prophet Isaiah they still had a problem when Jesus came. Just like most people in authority they were afraid since with Jesus death Man would now have a direct communication with GOD and not the Religious Leaders only. Back then the word of GOD was for the Israelites but with the coming of the Messiah it would be for all Jews and Gentiles. Read the book of Acts especially chapter 1: 7-9 and Romans 10: 11-13.
