I have always used the corning OFAT tool. The past few months I have been using the draka access tool. It works great but is pretty expensive. Still, on brittle tubes, will scare you. On brittle tubes I have found the OFAT works best as long as you let the tool follow the spin of the tube. Don't just give it a straight pull.
