Unless the pay scale for being W2 is real bad there are some benefits in forms of protection by the guvmint in the form of labor laws if you are working as a full time employee.
No back charges
Overtime
Paid holidays
Paid sick time
Health Insurance buy in
Unemployment Insurance (which they'll fight)
If uniforms are required they must provide them or pay for their up keep
Breaks and meal time allowance
This all varies on a state to state basis for some of the items, but the federal guidelines are what they are.
