Toyota buy back

A close friend of mine had a 99 Toyota pick up 4X4. He had high miles on it. well there was a recall on it. The fram was in bad shape. Last July they (Toyota) gave him $14000 dollars for that truck. He only paid $2400 for the truck 3 years ago. and even then it had 80000 miles on it. This was a bold move for Toyota and still to this day I'm impressed. the fram was corroding to fast. it was unsafe. once they inspected it they advised him it was unsafe.
