Can you pluralize the noun and not direct it as in a pronoun? Good question. Let me explain how it works because it really depends on the posting. First, when a message is posted it goes into Receiving. There it gets looked over initially for general problems by Bill. He's only looking for glaring problems like "UZ R TEH GAYZZZ!1!!" and he won't get into nuances about pluralizing nouns and using pronouns and such. It's not his job to decide that stuff anyway. All he can do is note problems.
After Receiving it moves on to Decryption. Here it gets translated from netspeak by Chris. When a message comes in like "DOS SOMONE NO PRIM CONTACTR 4 LA?" it's Chris who determines what the hell it means. Is it Spanish? English? Is this guy looking for a contact or a contractor? Is he asking "someone" or a chick named "Somone"? For Los Angeles or Louisiana? Main contractor or the most prim and proper one? Anyway, Chris is really a scientist who just cares about the literal translation so he's not going to get into the whole noun/pronoun thing either.
Once the message passes Decryption it goes to Parsing where it gets closer to your noun/pronoun issue. Mike is our parser and he takes parts of messages like "you feel me bro?" and expands on the meaning for the other departments. Without Mike, Heather over in Political Correctness would be all over something like that as sexual harassment and whatnot. If Mike can read some difference in the noun vs. the pronoun it's got a good shot of passing. It really depends if he had his Starbucks that morning because if not he can be a real douchenozzle.
So after Parsing it goes to Political Correctness. I already mentioned Heather in PC. She's basically an airhead and we really keep her around because she's got a rack like no other. If she finds a problem its her friend that brought it, if you know what I mean.
After PC it goes to Legal. This is the real deal here. That noun/pronoun thing isn't likely to get by our attorney Jacob A. Kirchoff, Esq. He flags basically everything for deletion. Not just the illegal ("I'll get my money from that dude with my machete at his throat") or slanderous ("them lying crooks don't pay they'll screw you") but even the seemingly innocuous ("anyone ever shot an illegal immigrant?"). Jacob A. Kirchoff, Esq. (he likes to use his full name professionally but around friends we use the short version) is a tough one but even he doesn't have final say. After our friend Jachoff it goes to Accounting for the final test.
Stan in Accounting is all about business. He looks over every post closely, looks at all the notes and recommendations from the other departments, then goes over the message again looking for certain keys that tell him whether or not it should pass. As you know, all posts have a designation (P) whether or not the person gave their 69 cents that week for Premier membership. Stan is all about the P. "P, P, let me see your P, P!" that's his motto.
So there you go. Noun, pronoun, dangling participle... your guess is as good as mine.
