Considering this new information, I totally agree with splicer.
They got paid for what they were contracted to do. Cut and dry the materials are yours. And honestly I cant see how they would even think the materials are theres.
Give them the choice of returning said materials or returning 10,000' of the paid invoice.
As it stands they didnt provide you with 20,000' of duct. If they wanted to get paid for total production then they should have left said material.
On another note thank you for being a stand up guy and attempting to take care of your contractor by honoring the contract. With all the fly by night prime contractors it is dissapointing to see a sub trying to rip off one of the few primes that still do.
