Just sue em!
There is nothing like a process server at a reception desk to get attention.
Soeak to your state wage and hour board........they have different names.
If there is any chance they can be accused of treating you like an employee they are in big trouble.
In asking the court for your money...ask for legal fees, collection fees and judgment
conversion fees. Try for back interest They stole your money! Six months! Do you have a list of jobs to fix?
Don't worry about being blackballed etc. If you can prove they stopped you from pursuing your chosen profession by slander or character assination a lawyer can carve them up.
Read your local law and the small claims sections.
