Wag the Dog! It's the way it's always been and the way it'll always be. When a small few control the masses, the masses must be led to believe what they want to believe. After all, isn't belief just faith? Isn't faith the substance of things hoped for and the evidence of things not seen? According to the Bible, faith is just a belief that some unknown thing is real.
The government plays that up and uses that in their favor to control the masses. We the people, by the people, and for the people means the elite few who are lucky enough to be invited or born into the political realm.
Joe the Plumber will only get his wealth at the short end of a long drainage pipe.
