not sure why you would want one that is plastic seems to me that would be a sure way for it to get broken. As far as using snaps not sure about the application you are talking about. if you wanting to just snap it to the stand then i would think that it would just flip up on you as soon as you put pressure on it.
Most of them are made so you can use bitch clamps to secure it without a bracket.
