If the jobs complete, and the customer received services you haven't been paid for, just file a lien on the customers home and the contractors holdings. As a legitimate contractor it's within your rights to be paid for services rendered. If the customer is not happy with your work product, your are as well allowed the right to remedy said defects in your work product prior to any litigation.
If in fact someone other than yourself set up the appointment time and specified as to how you were to perform said install and what type of equipment to use, than in fact you are a employee and should seek to have yourself classified as one.
