Stoney Dotson Is Dead?

Widow says he fell off a ladder in Ohio while subbing for a sub of a Prime for Time Warner. Cracked his skull and apparently killed instantly. Anyone who knew Dotson knows his history so won't mention here. Memorial service was a couple of weeks ago at a Baptist church in Michigan. I sent a tasteful arrangement. No casket or Stoney's body or ashes at the service and have not been able to verify the widow's claims. Can anyone find any proof that Stoney Dotson is dead? I've looked everywhere and cannot find any verification. I"m stumped
