I ran into a cable & at manager who stated he became a sales pro by getting up each morning and putting out 100 door tags each morning after 9:00AM. he would go back to bed or swim until afternoon. Then he would go back to the door tag area and knock on the doors that had taken in the tags......a few would even have called his answering machine. Out of 100 tags he made three or four sales a day which made him a sales standout!
Of course he needed different skills to function as a manager. He was promoted from door knocker to ,md management because he showed up every day with orders.
