Everyone hates the ACLU, but I would hate to see what kind of police state we would live in w/out them. The Government chips away at our liberties everyday. They stand between us and the literal manifestation of Orwells Big Brother (read the book, it's worse than you think). Even Rush the hypocrite Limbaugh, who HATES the ACLU, was grateful when they brought suit to protect his medical records from the prosecutors in his unlawfully acquiring prescription drugs case. They are a necessary evil.
