Re: squirrel stories

Working service in LR once I had just belted off on the pole and felt the line shaking.... looked out and there was 2 squirrels headed down the cable TOWARDS me about 30 ft from the pole. The first squirrel had spotted me and stopped but the 2nd one just jumped over him and kept coming. He didnt see me until he reached the bugnut. He froze. Stretched out his nose towards me like a pointer dog. Front leg hitched in the air and tail straight out behind..... sniffed at me a few times..... jumped onto the pole ..... looked around from the other side to see if I had moved any yet (I hadnt). He barked twice at me. I didnt move. so he jumped back onto the cable and continued on his way..... once he was about 20 ft the other side of me..... the first squirrel (who was still out at the location he had frozen at) Raced by me at about 100 mph trying to catch up with his hero that had faced down the cable man and won.
Of course that's just my opinion.... I could be wrong
