Re: information about company or person

Unfortunately, Nexus just lost a lineman last week when he apparently fell from the basket of his bucket truck. From local papers:

A contractor working on Tullahoma Utilities Board’s fiber optic system died from injuries sustained in a fall Wednesday afternoon, according to Franklin County authorities.

Jason Mitchell, 33, of Ashland City, Tenn., was working for Nexus Group of Nashville, a subcontractor of Vancouver, Wash.-based North Sky Communications, the prime contractor hired by TUB to complete fiber customer installations, when he fell to his death, according to preliminary findings.

Franklin County Sheriff Tim Fuller said that Mitchell was apparently working from a bucket truck on state Highway 130 in Franklin County when he fell from the bucket to the ground and broke his neck.

"As to what caused the fall, it’s yet to be determined," Fuller said.

"But there is no appearance of any foul play or electrocution."

Fuller said the accident occurred less than a mile from the Tullahoma City limits.

Mike Bell and George Dyer with The Franklin County Sheriff’s department are continuing the investigation pending autopsy findings.

Fuller said the call came in about 3:40 p.m. He said someone living close by discovered Mitchell lying on the ground in some high weeds near a ditch line.

According to Fuller, the man told investigators that he had seen Mitchell working earlier on the line and looked up and didn’t see him in the bucket, so he went over to find out what happened.
