i understand what you are saying. the blocks in this photo cut the ends of the excess 25 pair when you compress the splice. Yes there is a tool to cross connect to the cpe, and it is that little tool in the pic, however; that is just generic tool, much like the little screwdriver or allen wrench you get when you buy furniture-in-a-box
