I only viewed the last 4 posts related to your comments. And I don’t see anything related to 1972 cable. But let’s compare apples to apples.
All broadcast network HD transmitters are operating in the UHF spectrum. So given the worst-case scenario, you would be looking at UHF channel 83 at 884 to 890 MHz.
Could an antenna mounted to your chimney. Using a 1972 era RG-59 cable with the old ring crimp connectors, receive this HD signal? Absolutely. How many channels and what quality would depend on how close you are to the transmitter.
However, if you showed up at my house, as a professional cable/satellite technician. Thinking that you would use this wiring on a $5000 entertainment system. I would politely show you the door, and say have a nice day.
