Looking for a reference manual for creating circuit ID numbers and to label FDP's. Small dark fiber company that has not been labeling their FDP's.
We need to assign circuit ID’s to each of the DF IRU’s as well as other circuits to end user customers. The following is my suggestion for how we assign them;
Example; 04-CA-D01-0001
04 = Year contract was signed
CA= State where service is being provided (A-Location)
D01= Service type, in this case DF LEAF. We would assign these as any new service is added.
0001= Serial number
Thoughts?
